Best Motion Graphics - Scott Pilgrim!

It's no secret that some of the best motion gfx works are movie titles. Scott Pilgim Vs. The World is an amazing movie, a stunning piece of design and motion that you MUST see if you haven't yet, cause I had never seen a movie like this. The visuals are out of this world, and so is the intro.

If you are a gamer, designer, indie rocker or whatever you cannot miss this movie.

Best Motion gfx - The Backwater Gospel

WARNING: The following is an extremely graphic and violent animation

That being said, The Blackwater Gospel is one of the best animations I've seen lately. Done by 8 incredibly talented students (4 animators and 4 CG artists) the piece features animations done in Flash and 3D both composited in After Effects. The result is frankly AMAZING and I can see nothing but a bright future for the people involved in it.

Nike Id Nation - Best Motion / Flash websites

Ok, I'm back from my vacations and now my skin is not only tanned by the radiation of my computer but by the beautiful and natural Sun :)

To get back into track today I bring an excellent piece of Motion Gfx by Nike which could have also been a perfect Flash website (yeah, really!). Check out the interface these guys have designed for the motion piece and let me know if it wouldn't be an outstanding Flash website.

Latin 3 Demo Reel - Best Flash websites and Motion Gfx

Ok, this is my last post of the year as I'm going on vacations until mid January.

This is the demo reel for a Flash company called Latin 3. The work looks just fine and if you are a NFS (Need For Speed) or similar player you'll love Ford's website.

The only thing that puzzles me is how they can make such good work but suck so much in the audio/music selection and editing of the reel.

Sparkle Reel - Best Motion Gfx

Well, let's take a step forward. So long I've been featuring mostly 2D or 2.5D motion graphic jobs, but the real beauty of motion graphics comes when we combine these with 3D elements.

Sparkles 2008 demo reel (couldn't find a more recent one, sorry) is just amazing. While still mostly a 2.5D reel it is an excellent transition for future 3D motion gfx jobs to be featured. Check it out and as always, go Fullscreen.
